How to chose the valve correctly

The selection of valves generally follow the following steps:

        1.Determine the working condition of the valve according to its use in the device or industrial pipeline. Such as, working medium, working pressure and working temperature.

        2.Determine valve sealing performance grade according to working medium, working environment and customer requirements.

        3.Determine valve type and drive mode according to valve use. Type such as truncation valve, regulating valve, safety valve, other special valves. Drive mode such as: turbine, pneumatic, electric, etc.

        4.According to the actual operating conditions and the nominal size of the valve to determine the valve end face and pipeline connection form. Such as flange, welding, clamping and thread and so on.

        5.According to the characteristics of the medium, working pressure and work stability, to choose the correct and reasonable valve shell and inner material.

        6.According to the valve installation position, installation space, nominal size to determine the structure of the valve type. Such as dark bar knife gate valve, T - way ball valve, parallel safety valve and so on.

        7.According to the nominal valve parameters selection. Nominal valve pressure, nominal dimensions shall be determined to match the installed process piping. The valve is installed in the process pipeline, so its use condition should be consistent with the design choice of the process pipeline, the standard system used by the pipeline and the nominal pressure of the pipeline is determined, the nominal pressure of the valve, the nominal size, the design and manufacture of the valve can be determined. Some valves are based on the rated time flow through the valve flow or displacement to determine the nominal size of the valve.
